Predator Hunter...

Gary is a professional coyote hunter based in Fannett, Texas, who has studied coyote vocalization and biology on the bayous, in the rice fields and timberlands for more than 11 years.  Gary travels around southeast Texas and Louisiana holding predator hunting seminars, tournaments and discussions.  He also hunts bobcats & foxes, but his passion is coyotes. “Coyotes are one of the smartest animals in North America; just remember that they hunt deer for a living, so if you can outwit a coyote, you are on top of your game”.

Gary has been hunting coyotes, bobcat & fox for over 11 years, and has tried many commercially available mouth calls & electronic calls.  Having experienced the wide range of coyote vocalization while hunting, he decided to create his own line of predator calls, out of necessity, the need for simplicity & ease of carrying around.

Gary says: “All you really need are a good coyote howler and a cottontail rabbit  distress call.  Of course, in some areas which are over called by predator hunters, you can try a “woodpecker-in-distress” call or something else, but for the most part, these two calls are really all you need.  They are easy to learn, and in the instructional CD included in the predator call package, I will take you step-by-step through learning the howler & distress call, including interrogation howls & locator howls, challenge howls, barks, yelps, Ki-Yi pup distress and jackrabbit distress calls on the howler.  On the cottontail rabbit distress, you just blow it to make a “waaaaa-waaaaaaaaa” sound, and it is amazingly realistic. Both calls are easy to blow, and don’t take much wind, unlike other calls on the market”…Gander Mountain now retails Gary’s predator calls.

Once you learn coyote howling, it will make you deadly on coyotes, and especially during the December thru’ March mating season.
